Description

In the Fall of 2024, MAC collaborated with Olathe Public Schools to pinpoint the true cause of their running track issues: a failing subbase. We recommended a comprehensive rebuild of their district facility to break the cycle of costly, temporary repairs. Trusted as the General Contractor, MAC managed the project from concept to completion, executing a full scope of work.

Demolition and sub-grade preparation by removing the old track surface and asphalt base. Subbase soil stabilization, fine grading, and improved drainage to establish a solid foundation. Construction consisted of new asphalt paving, concrete curbing, and site enhancements. The running track surface is a high-performance Sandwich System with precise, competition-ready striping.

The result is a flagship competition facility that meets the district’s high standards and ensures reliable performance for years to come.
